Being Liberal and a Progressive in a RED STATE is not an easy thing these days. I started this blog to vent my frustrations on our lives being taken over by right wing conservatives with their propaganda machines. I have also learned an important lesson in the last year, it is that reading is the only way to get real information, you cannot depend on the news you see on TV.

It is Pretty Clear They Were Not Here -- BRING THEM HOME

OK People its pretty clear now that the one thing we depended on to help us in disasterous times were not here. The National Guard, the one thing we could always depend on in times like this. If there were enough guard in New Orleans they would have been there within hours like always. They were not there, they were in Iraq. Bush has doomed us to natural Castastrophy!, we do not have enough National Guard in our states to save us. Bring them home Bush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As an American student living in the UK, the coverage we are seeing over here is beyond belief. Dead bodies floating in the water, mothers and children begging for food and water, elderly dying in the heat. This is a national disgrace, and people wonder how this is happening in a country like the US. That people are dying from lack of food, water and shelter, children and elderly living in unsanitary conditions, it just beggers belief. This is a horrible disaster, and I think we all know who is to blame for this...Bush and his policies. Bush basically removed our internal infrastructure for his little war games, and look where it led us!
That Bush should appear, 3 days late, on TV looking country club tan and stumbling though a poor speech is a slap in the face to the victims of this disaster. The VP is nowhere to be seen, and Rice is on vacation in NYC buying thousand dollar shoes. What is going on??? What happened to my country?
