Being Liberal and a Progressive in a RED STATE is not an easy thing these days. I started this blog to vent my frustrations on our lives being taken over by right wing conservatives with their propaganda machines. I have also learned an important lesson in the last year, it is that reading is the only way to get real information, you cannot depend on the news you see on TV.

Wow, that dress code is Crazy. It's like STEPFORD UNIVERSITY. These are the wackos that when they are done with the University get out in to the real world and can't dress themselfs.

They do have the right to have whatever dress code they want. You know, Bob Jones University wouldn't let me in, but they have the right to set any kind of standard they want.
Personally, I'm all for having that freedom to choose. They're up front and honest about the dress code; after all, it's on the website. Therefore, the choice is yours: if you don't like it, don't go there. It's as simple as that.
It was pretty funny that you said they couldn't dress "themselfs", since the subject of the article was a DRESS code. And, they may not dress how you'd like, but I would bet most of them would graduate and be able to spell "themselves."

"Designer's" implication was that (s)he had gone to college with people who, after leaving, had a hard time dressing themselves. My point was twofold: first, it seems clear that they know how to dress, since it is a dress code; and second, it's funny that (s)he was making fun of people who didn't learn how to dress at college, while (s)he didn't learn how to spell.
It's funny because you go to college to get an education, not necessarily how to dress yourself. Granted, that's something people should learn before college, and that there are people who go to college, but still can't dress themselves.
And, I didn't really feel bad poking a little fun at the typo, because she was poking fun at people who couldn't dress properly. It wasn't a real stinging comment on my part.
