Being Liberal and a Progressive in a RED STATE is not an easy thing these days. I started this blog to vent my frustrations on our lives being taken over by right wing conservatives with their propaganda machines. I have also learned an important lesson in the last year, it is that reading is the only way to get real information, you cannot depend on the news you see on TV.

Welcome to all My "Wingnut" Readers

Welcome to:

Your Mom and
You Like Dudes

I am absolutely thrilled that so many Wingnuts are reading this blog and commenting. They will become liberal, progressive moonbats if they keep reading "leftie" blogs. It lifts my heart to see how interested they are in democrats and what we think. Although by their postings I figured they will have to wait a few years to vote.

A mature post from Your Mom's Blog:

one stupid bitch

in case you want to see the website of one stupid bitch, go to

she thinks we shouldnt be able to post whatever we want on our blogs. what a whore.

Perhaps you should note that my page is a huge joke, that posts such things as funny online poker names and the like. You are really fighting the good fight against the right wing on this one! besides, you are stupid and you are a bitch so what is the big deal? If you are so concerned with being important, what are you doing looking at a website that is so critical to so many readers? congrats!

Well "your mom" have great reading skills, I to read the welcome message, and I agree you are a wing nut, you where never labeled to the right. It is great to have people like you that let your voice heard, though you mostly seem to get angry and the only thing out of your superior human brain is words like "bitch" and "suck it." Suck what? Do you miss your moms nipple. Give her a call if that is what you are missing in your online poker playing life. You can get help. I believe you will be okay.

Just say "I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and dog-gone it, people like me." -Al Franken

Plus I don't think you should be upset with Dems. you should be upset with the writers of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. It seems you do not want people to be able to talk about anything unless you like it.

If you don't remember the 1st, but I bet you do I will type it for you really quick.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Now don't waste all your precious time "your mom" and write me back a comment, and tell me what you are doing is free speech because I have never read or heard in my life someone who had to make a real point use those words (JFK, MLK, Malcolm X), They changed America. You only hear your words come from people that wear wife beaters and well.... beat their wifes.

I am just passing though reading blogs and seeing what people are saying in the world I may stop back by but I do not have the time you do. Have a wonderful day everyone and I will leave you with one more quote.

"I have been thinking that I would make a proposition to my Republican friends...that if they will stop telling lies about Democrats, we will stop telling the truth about them." -Adlai Stevenson

P.S. I enjoyed the blog.

First, it needs to be said. Herff, if you are going to be the voice of reason for "Dems," as you call them, you must learn how to write coherent sentences. The force of your words is greatly diluted by the lack of clarity.

And, as one who knows "Your Mom", I will state that he has no problems with the First Amendment. He encourages people to say what they think. The Supreme Court would agree that what he has said is his absolute right. He has used bad language in order to make a point, political or not. Just because JFK, MLK, or Malcolm X never used bad language during their public speeches doesn't mean that the First Amendment doesn't protect it. One good example is Texas v. Johnson, 491 U.S. 397, where the Supreme Court says burning a flag is protected speech. You can find these cases on I'd encourage you to read it. Also, the Supreme Court held, in another case, that someone who wore a jacket that said, "Fuck the draft" was protected by the First Amendment right to free speech. (the site is Cohen v. California, 403 U.S. 15) Clearly, Your Mom's use of the words "bitch" or "suck it" are most clearly protected by the First Amendment.

I do have to agree that our host has been most gracious in allowing the "wingnuts" to post on her site. However, I also question the designation of myself as a "wingnut." Although I consider myself conservative in some ways, Your Mom would tell you that I am favor of some liberal policies. Perhaps it comes from my younger years in "blue" Los Angeles.

For example, I believe we do need to do something about the rampant poverty in our inner cities. I don't believe the system is currently working, and so I am for changing those procedures. Nevertheless, I would separate myself from many other conservatives on this issue.

I do wish there was a little more dialogue here, especially since this page (as opposed to Your Mom's) is designed as a political site. Of course, I realize that there is more to life than blogging.

I would also ask our host to post the CNN article from this morning. Here is an excerpt (The following is a direct quotation, I have merely deleted a couple of the less important paragraphs, but please read the whole article - the address is at the bottom - to ensure I have not tampered with the critical information):

BOSTON, Massachusetts (AP) -- Sen. John F. Kerry's grade average at Yale University was virtually identical to President Bush's record there, despite repeated portrayals of Kerry as the more intellectual candidate during the 2004 presidential campaign.

Kerry had a cumulative average of 76 and got four Ds his freshman year -- in geology, two history courses and political science, The Boston Globe reported Tuesday.

His grades improved with time, and he averaged an 81 his senior year and earned an 89 -- his highest grade -- in political science as a senior.

"I always told my dad that D stood for distinction," Kerry said in a written response to reporters' questions. He said he has previously acknowledged focusing more on learning to fly than studying.

In 1999, The New Yorker magazine published a transcript showing Bush had a cumulative grade average of 77 his first three years at Yale, and a similar average under a non-numerical rating system his senior year.

Bush's highest grade at Yale was an 88 in anthropology, history and philosophy. He received one D in his four years, a 69 in astronomy, and improved his grades after his freshman year, the transcript showed.

Furthermore, here's the link:

Apparently, our President is not a moron, as many have assumed. Granted, he's not the most savvy of public speakers, but you can't call him an idiot. At least, if you're going to call him a moron, you have to admit that Kerry is one, too.

Our host has identified CNN as a "good news" source. I'm curious as to whether this site is a "propoganda machine," giving only one side of the political spectrum, or if it is designed to encourage some discussion. After all, only through honest discussion can we understand anything.

I think you're referring to me. Well, congrats, smart guy, you just found out some information I would have told you myself. I'm not from Kansas, I've never lived in Kansas, (and for that matter, neither has Your Mom) but I do work near Overland Park. And I am a student at UMKC. And since I warned Blue Gal about having her son go to UMKC in one of my initial posts, I bet she could have figured that out herself.

I don't see what that has to do with anything. But at least you have that information, right?

I think it's ironic that Blue Gal is afraid of our government turning into Big Brother, yet her supporters are the ones looking for more information. I'll tell you anything you want; of course, I would try not to give identifying information, for the same reasons that Blue Gal doesn't. And, in the same way, I ask that you respect my privacy the same way you'd respect hers.

Don't forget, ladies and gentlemen, I am not on this site posting threats of violence or anything else which would lead you to fear for your safety. I am, and Your Mom is, neither scary nor threatening in any manner.

I am only asking for political dialogue. Let's talk about the issues, not where we're posting from. Of course, we get heated when talking about our beliefs, but that's far from scary. Or, at least, it should be.

And, "chris swecker," if you have something of value to respond to, by all means, please respond. But a mere recital of where I am does nothing but invade my privacy. And if you are a member of the FBI, as your link implies, stay out of my file, as you have no reason to inspect it.

OK OK, Herff, you are probably one of the least intelligent people I have ever heard (or read as it were) but it is not fair for me to attribute that to our gracious host. Just because you do not know how to type, spell, or construct a sentence doesn't mean I should attribute it to the host of this site. I give her props for letting us post what we want on her site. I was wrong when I said that she wouldn't let us post what we want. I still think her posts are stupid, but I appreciate her candor and her willingness to entertain the debate. I apologize to her for my rudeness, but not to any of the rest of you low-brows.
