Being Liberal and a Progressive in a RED STATE is not an easy thing these days. I started this blog to vent my frustrations on our lives being taken over by right wing conservatives with their propaganda machines. I have also learned an important lesson in the last year, it is that reading is the only way to get real information, you cannot depend on the news you see on TV.

They Like Us, they really Like Us part II

From Newsweek's Richard Wolffe:

But it’s not just the American president feeling the brunt of unpopularity here in Vienna. When a group of reporters attempted to hail a cab outside the Hilton Vienna hotel (where the White House press corps is staying) on Tuesday night, one driver waved the group off with a string of anti-American expletives. Calling Bush a modern-day “Hitler,” the driver told the reporters they were “nasty Americans” and said he wouldn’t permit them to step foot into his car.

To [Liberals], 2,200 military deaths in the entire course of a war in Iraq is unconscionable, but 1.3 million aborted babies in America every year is something to celebrate.

Do you agree with this statement?

Ahhhh, I see Ann Coulter reads my blog, from her newest column:

"Liberals don't care about women. They care about destroying human life. To them, 2,200 military deaths in the entire course of a war in Iraq is unconscionable, but 1.3 million aborted babies in America every year is something to celebrate."

She also said:

"I dedicate this column to John Murtha, the reason soldiers invented fragging,"

Do you think it is alright to call for the murder of Mr. Murtha?

I'm not sure you answered my question. Do you agree that abortion is ok but killing Iraqis is not?

Let me ask you this, if you were passing by a fertility clinic that was burning and you rushed in to save anyone who was trapped and you found 1,000
frozen embryos and a six week old baby. You could only carry one out and you knew by the time you saved one the other would be obliviated before you
could return to save it, which would you choose?

You were not talking about how beautiful The USA is Anonymous, and it can be. You were talking about abortion as opposed to soldiers killed in Irak-Iraq (both spellings are accepted)........
And if the USA are so beautiful, how come every country we set a foot in, ends up turning against us and hating us ? They're the ignorants, right, sorry I forgot again.

As well as I forgot that we are the ones that armed and brought the Talibans to power.
We might be beautiful but we sure do make a lot of enormous dumb mistakes.

But now that you mention it why the invasion of Irak ? Mugabe (Zimbabwe),Soe Win and Than Shwe(Myanmar), Umar Hassan al-Bashir (Sudan) just to name a few are as bad as Saddam but I guess they did not have something we wanted.......
Ooops, there goes our moral commitment to democracy and freedom for rather trivial/practical/oily reasons !!! ;-))
