King George the 1st?
Ok I either commit suicide or find a new country:
Republicans have officially started the the campaign to amend the Constitution by repealing the 22nd Amendment - the one that confines the President to two terms. If the Republicans hold their current strength, or increase it, in the 2006 Congressional elections, expect this measure to pass allowing Bush to remain President...

Relax. By your own statistics, this isn't going to happen. First, in order for the Constitution to be amdended, it has to have a 2/3 approval in BOTH the House of Representatives and the Senate. This may or may not happen. If Dean can ever get Dems together on anything, it wouldn't.
Even if it does pass Congress, it still has to be ratified by 3/4 of the states, or 38 states.
According to "news sources", Bush's approval rating are down under 50%. Therefore, I'm sure that at least 13 states would vote down this amendment.
I bet you'd see a lot of "battleground" states during Presidential elections (i.e., Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Arizona), although they may have voted for Bush, will swing against the Amendment.
Part of what makes the Constitution great is that it doesn't allow anyone (Dem, Rep, Green, Liber, etc.) to get a complete stranglehold on the government for too long.
