Being Liberal and a Progressive in a RED STATE is not an easy thing these days. I started this blog to vent my frustrations on our lives being taken over by right wing conservatives with their propaganda machines. I have also learned an important lesson in the last year, it is that reading is the only way to get real information, you cannot depend on the news you see on TV.

Christiane Amanpour: "If You Want Better News Write the Stations"

While at a speaking engagement Christiane Amanpour was asked how to get better news coverage from the media she responded:

A letter-writing campaign. Christiane Amanpour said that if we mount a massive letter-writing campaign, demanding better news and more news (rather than more talking heads), that is what CNN will deliver.

We should all do this, it is pretty sad when we Americans have to watch BBC to actually find out what is going on in the world.
