Army Thinking of Spending 1.4 Million for Naming Rights to RFK Stadium
The US Army is looking into buying the naming rights of RFK Stadium in DC, the home of the new Nationals team. It seems the Army could spend as much as 1.4 million a year for the naming rights. One would think they would have better things to spend the money on like: Armored vehicles and body armour!
Army May Sponsor the Nationals at RFK?
As District officials search for a sponsor for Washington Nationals games at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium, talk has turned to one organization that is not a traditional corporate advertiser: the U.S. Army......According to Orange, Tuohey said the Army might be willing to pay an average of about $1.4 million per season to become the primary sponsor for the three years the Nationals play at RFK.
"He said the Army was trying to raise their profile," Orange said yesterday.......
