Being Liberal and a Progressive in a RED STATE is not an easy thing these days. I started this blog to vent my frustrations on our lives being taken over by right wing conservatives with their propaganda machines. I have also learned an important lesson in the last year, it is that reading is the only way to get real information, you cannot depend on the news you see on TV.

Bush Approval Rating at 45 Percent - Last Week's Gallup Poll Biased

Last week's Gallup Poll that showed Bush with a 57% approval rating proved biased.
More Republicans were polled than Democrats:

Bush Approval/Disapproval 57%-40%

Republicans: 378 (37%)
Independents: 353 (35%)
Democrats: 279 (28%)

A Poll conducted for the AP by Ipsos-Public Affairs after the State of the Union Speech and the Iraqi Elections tell a very different story





The public's confidence in President Bush job performance and the nation's direction has slipped in the opening weeks of his second term, particularly among people 50 and older, according to an Associated Press poll. Adults were evenly divided on Bush's job performance in January, but now 54 percent disapprove and 45 percent approve.
