Being Liberal and a Progressive in a RED STATE is not an easy thing these days. I started this blog to vent my frustrations on our lives being taken over by right wing conservatives with their propaganda machines. I have also learned an important lesson in the last year, it is that reading is the only way to get real information, you cannot depend on the news you see on TV.

Tax Payer Money pays for Campaigning

I really never thought about this until my son brought it to my attention tonight. The cost of our Prez going around the country campaigning for candidates for his party.

Yesterday in Sugarland Texas, Bush used Airforce I, umteen secret service personal, helicopter and whatever else it takes for a Prez to visit a city to campaign for a write in candidate in Texas 22 district.

This is really abhorrant no matter if it a wingnut or dem. No American should have to pay for this.

Someone is Scared

Looks like Tricky Dicky might just be afraid of a Dem take over:

From Wonkette:

Spotted on 10/19, by an eagle-eyed Wonkette reader: The Mid-Atlantic Shredding Services truck making its way up to the Cheney compound at the Naval Observatory.

Fun fact: Mid-Atlantic Shredding Services has been contracted by the Secret Service for our Executive Branch’s record-not-keeping needs.

The present contractor providing Pickup & Destruction of Sensitive Waste Material services is Mid Atlantic Shredding Services and the current rate is $0.095 cents per lbs.

You better get crackin’, Dick — that evidence won’t destroy itself!

Voting for the Dems Will Bring Him Back

Vote November 7th

Heck of a job Bush!

It seems like Bush has decided to forego the rules that Congress passed that said he must appoint someone with 5 years of experience to head FEMA. With a signing statement that he can appoint anyone he wants like good old "heck of a job Brownie"

People with Parkinson's Disease are Just so Funny!

A sick, sick person:

If the Dems used the Karl Rove Strategy

From Andrew Sullivan:

Dan Savage suggests a new ad for Harold Ford. Ford should look in the camera and say:

The Republicans have accused me of being a heterosexual man. They're implying that I have an interest in women. It would seem that today's Republican Party is more comfortable with elected officials - male elected officials - who take an interest in teenage boys. Mark Foley is acceptable to Ken Mehlman's GOP. Heterosexual men, it seems, are not.

Yes, it's gay-baiting in Tennessee and Glenn Reynolds would get the vapors. (So would I.) But if Karl Rove were a Democrat, he'd do it in an instant. And Rich Lowry would call it effective.

Open Mouth insert Foot

I hope this happens again and again until election day, here is Peter King in a debate in New York saying that AARP and the NAACP are radical groups and the audience laughs in disbelief. I hope America sees what this party is all about now, mocking sick people, black people, old people, pathetic:

Quote of the Day

After hearing what Limbaugh said about Michael J. Fox either acting or purposefully going off his meds to make the Claire McCaskill Ad:

"Rush Limbaugh, a fat, draft-dodging, drug addict -- jacking his maid up, having her buy dope for him -- That fat son of bitch, I mean, enough bad stuff can't happen to him,"
Imus -- MSNBC

More Faux Fox News

They sure want their viewers to believe Foley was a Democrat:

October Surprise

Stepford Wife Stumps for Pedophile inabler

From Crawsfordslist :

Rep. Thomas Reynolds, the Republican campaign chief who collected $100,000 from Mark Foley while concealing the now-retired Florida congressman's email advances to underage pages, gets a major White House boost today for his endangered reelection drive. Just a day after President Bush called the scandal "disgusting," he is sending his wife to help Reynolds raise money in his Buffalo, NY district. Reynolds also faces criticism for lending his chief of staff to Foley last week in an effort to keep Foley's most salacious emails out of public view. Why risk Laura Bush's positive image by sending her into the middle of this mess? That's just how desperate the GOP is feeling these days. And it certainly reinforces White House insistence that party leaders did nothing wrong.

Just some "Good 'ol Boys" nevah meanin' no harm

Bush's buds, "heck of a job" Brownie and "pedophile" Foley:

Lies and the Lying Liars thay Tell Them

Fox news is so sneaky and what a lying bunch of hypocrites, I remembering watching a segment last year during Hurricane Katrina and they were talking about the Super Dome and while doing so showed pictures of the Astrodome in Houston which looked so nice with beds on the floor nice and clean instead of the horrendouse mess the Superdome was. Look at how they handle the Mark Foley scandal, call him a democrat:
